LEGACY
Since its early origins as a village, Croton has always been a haven for the arts. Clifford Harmon and Madame Lillian Nordica set the tone at the turn of the century and that trend has been echoed in the efforts of arts doyenne, Mabel Dodge and others.
More recently, establishments like The Gallimaufrey and Wondrous Things have followed suit. We at Croton River Artisans honor the work of Ethel Stein, W. Eugene Smith, Alexander Calder, Vera, Lenore Doskow and countless other Croton makers, who have come before us and set the standard for artistic excellence.
